Our site in Sutterton, Lincolnshire covers 2½ acres and is licenced by the Environment Agency to recycle used tyres.
The site covers 2½ acres and is built on a impermeable concrete slab for environmental protection.
Our factory covers 20,000 square feet and contains our tyre processing equipment and provides covered and secure tyre storage.
In this image you can make out two of our four baling machines. We also have a number of shearing tools and various presses. In total we employ around 20 people.
Having bought the site Envirotyre invested a further £300,000 to comply with the strict criteria laid down by the planning authority, Lincolnshire County Council and the Environment Agency.
To meet environmental and fire regulations we covered the ground with concrete. This ensures that no contamination from the waste tyres leaches into groundwater, and no soil or stones from the yard get mixed with the tyres, before or after processing. Surface water flows into an attenuation scheme which removes oil, dust and debris carried by the water. The contaminates are collected and carefully disposed of. The clean water empties into a local stream.
This system stores 90,000 litres of water on our site, so in the unlikely event of a fire there is a ready supply of water and the run-off is collected for re-use. Only clean water enters the water course.
Envirotyre is licenced by the Environment Agency (EA) as a registered waste processor, with a permit QP3096EJ/A001 and Waste Management Licence No. 102150. Our registration is available for members of the public to view on the EA website. Our registration is specific to our Sutterton site.
We are in regular contact with the EA, reporting quarterly and being inspected at random intervals.

A 2 metre high security fence surrounds the site, which is also fitted with CCTV and floodlights.
We believe our Sutterton site represents the most economical and environmentally friendly way to process used tyres. If you are considering using us and wish to visit and see for yourself please call Danielle: We would be delighted to show you around.
